What are MP3 downloads, zip files, MP3 DVDs and MP3 CDs?

MP3 is a compressed audio format that can be played on a computer or an MP3 player (like a small CD player). iPods are MP3 players, although there are many less expensive players available at your local department store. You will need to connect your MP3 player to a computer in order to put MP3s on it. MP3s can also be "burned" to regular audio CDs using a computer. Because of the length of each lesson, only one will fit per audio CD. Instructions on how to burn an audio CD can be found on the Technical Help page. If you choose to download the MP3s, we will transfer the lessons directly to your computer from our website with no shipping and handling charges.

A zip file is a delivery "package" that can hold one or many files in it. Each Gospel Doctrine Collection zip file contains all of the lessons in that particular collection. All computers can unzip these zip files, revealing the many mp3 files within them.
MP3 DVDs look like CDs and are in fact the same type of disc as video DVDs (but with data - in this case MP3 files - instead of video on them). You will need a computer with a DVD-ROM drive in order to transfer the MP3 files to your computer. If you can watch a video DVD on your computer, you have a DVD-ROM drive. If you choose this option, we will mail you one DVD per collection that you order (each DVD holds all 52 lessons in the collection). Shipping and handling charges apply.

MP3 CDs are the same type of disc as a regular music CD (but with data - in this case MP3 files - instead of music on them). All computers except for the very old ones have CD-ROM drives that can read the lessons on MP3 CDs for transfer or playback. Many newer music CD players can also play MP3 CDs just like a regular CD. If you choose this option, we will mail you two CDs per collection that you order (each CD holds 26 lessons from the collection). Shipping and handling charges apply.
